Since the 1970s, ENSR has been helping the downstream petroleum market succeed with new environmental challenges. ENSR personnel help refinery and petrochemical clients to maintain or increase facility production, while achieving environmental compliance and reducing risk and costly delays. We have also performed studies for the American Petroleum Institute (API).

Our refinery and petrochemical experts are engineers, chemists, scientists, geologists, and MBAs who serve as project managers for client work worldwide. Typical project work includes addressing environmental issues such as emergency flaring, continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), combustion emissions, FCC regenerator scrubbers, air toxics, nuisance odors, ambient air monitoring, sour water, raw water, NPDES permits, oily sludge, TMDL allocation, slop oil, pump maintenance, and drought contingency planning.

Safety

ENSR is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and minimizing our clients’ liability concerns regarding the contractor safety performance. Our internal H&S Staff developed and currently manages a subcontractor H&S pre-qualification program, in addition to a comprehensive Health & Safety Program to protect employees, comply with all pertinent governmental regulations, and satisfy our clients’ health and safety requirements. The programs are successful: ENSR’s OSHA Recordable Case and Workers Compensation Case totals have improved in each of last 5 years.

To ensure continual improvement in H&S performance, ENSR’s H&S Department launched a “Best-in-Class” H&S Initiative in 2005.
